Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is one of easy treks to explore the beautiful view of Annapurna, it is suitable for those who has limited time, and it fits for many of the tourist even children.

This treks offers spectacular mountain scenery and sunrise view which takes only 6 days. Ghorepani is a village in Myagdi District in the Dhawalagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. It lies 17 kilometres from the district capital of Baglung at an elevation of approximately 2874m (9429ft). The village lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) and contains a number of "guest houses" that provide lodging and meals to mountain trekkers, many of whom spend the night before a pre-dawn trek to the top of nearby Poon Hill (3210m/10531ft) to watch the sunrise.Poon Hill is the best view point for enjoying the view of Annapurna region such as Round Annapurna, Jomsom, and Annapurna Sanctuary. Except the attractive landscape, you can enjoy many ethnic groups as well. Gurung which is one of the people know as Gurkha soldier lives alone the way place called Gandrung. You also can have good mountains view of Annapurna south Hiuchuli and Mt. Machhapuchhre.

The best season for this trek is Oct to May in next year, there are blooming followers on your way, and many smiling faces towards to you. Starting from the easy Nayapul (1070M) up to Ghorepani (2750M), everyday is the surprise view of Fishtail (6993M), Annapurna South (7219M),on the Pooh Hill facing the amazing sunrise, that’s unforgettable moment that brighten in your life.

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft)

Day 02: Pokhara to Nayapul then trek to Tikhadhunga (1,540m/5,052ft)

Day 03: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (3,194m/10,479ft)

Day 04: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,590m/8,497ft)

Day 05: Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,364ft)

Day 06: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft)

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft)

After breakfast ahead to Pokhara. The is an interesting drive along the scenic Prithivi Highway. It takes about seven hour to arrive Pokhara. After a brief rest at the hotel, you can walk around the Fewa lake and explore the surrounding areas.

Day 2: Drive to Nayapul & trek to Tikhadhunga (1,540m/5,052ft)

In the morning ake a short drive to Nayapul, the beginning of the trek. The trail begins with an easy walk towards Birethanti along the river. The trail leads you towards Bhurundi Khola along great scenery, passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Tikhedhunga.

Day 3: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (3,194m/10,479ft)

It is a  long uphill hike to Ulleri which has 3,200 stone steps and amazing landscape with views of the valley and the Annapurnas. It is a little tired way but the beautiful scenery will attract you to keep going. After a short walk from Ulleri, the trail leads you through the rhododendron forest, home to the national flower of Nepal. Then the trail continues uphill to Ghorepani where we will have excellent views of the entire Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri.

Day 4: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,590m/8,497ft)

Sunrise in Poon Hill is the a breathtaking view. You will forget the tired wake up at mid night and one hour strength walk to the top of the Poon Hill. After taking photographs from top Poon Hill, we will drop back down to the lodge at Ghorepani and trek down to Tadapani after breakfast. The beginning part of the trail is a steep uphill walk to the ridge. At Deurali you can take a short break. Then the trail drops down through the valley to Banthanti, through a scenic forest. At the end, is a short easy walk to the ridge and steep descent to a river crossing via bridge. The day concludes with a steep climb to Tadapani, located on the top of the ridge. Stay overnight at a guest house.

Day 5: Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,364ft)

The trail drops a bit down through the forest to Bhaisekharka and continue towards Ghandruk. After lunch at Ghandruk, explore around the village to visit Museum and overnight stay at lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara(820m/2,690ft)

It is the last day of trekking trip. It is very pleasant walking through the village and farm terrace which drops down to the Modi Khola and Sauli Bazzar. After that, easy walk to Birethanti where we will have to sign out from ACAP office. After short easy walk to the bridge the trail leads last steep climb to the road point where we will able to take bus ride to Pokhara.
